I like to enjoy life (not in the expensive way - in the a-decent-cup-of-tea-or-a-conversation-with-a-friend-I-haven't-talked-to-in-awhile-can-make-my-day sort of way); I don't hurry (I'm usually late); I smile all the time, but especially when I'm upset, because it's hard to stay upset when you're smiling; I love candied ginger and cinnamon ice cream (not together) and I love good food; I can't watch horror movies; and my boyfriend opens the car door for me every time we go somewhere (I thank him and give him a kiss). I'm a happy person by choice, not nature.
I've considered myself a dancer since March 2009 when I attended my first blues dance exchange. Since that exchange, I have done a lot of things. I've attended over a dozen exchange weekends, I've attended countless beginner workshops, and worked one-on-one with a number of instructors and in small groups that offer honest critique. My dancing has improved enormously, and my physical ability has transformed me to a different person. Dancing is part of my every day, and I love it. I still have a long way to go, but I'm really enjoying the process of getting there.
